Dental Implants Procedure

The process of placing dental implants can be quite different from patient to patient. There are several variables in treatment plans, including jawbone density, healing time, the number of implants being placed, and much more. However, the dental implant surgery itself is relatively similar for each patient. First, we’ll make a small incision in the gums to give us access to your jawbone. Next, small holes are drilled into your bone where the new titanium posts will sit. Once this is done, you’ll be given time for the implants to fuse with your jawbone and completely heal. The next step is attaching the connective structure to the implant and placing your preferred restoration on top. Common restorative pieces paired with dental implants include dental crowns, bridges, and dentures.

Implant-Supported Dentures

When many people think of dentures, they envision adhesives and instability. However, with as little as four dental implants, we can create dentures that snap into place and leave you with a secure, fully functioning smile. Your full denture will rest on the four implants and tightly lock into place to increase comfort and prevent slipping.
